I followed the reviews and bought this little wonder tool. I have tried the imitation Rabbit corkscrews from Costco and the actual Rabbit corkscrew. I like this one much better. It takes up less space and is a snap to use. After a while the previously mentioned corkscrews stopped working. This one may too, but it will be a lot cheaper to replace.

I know it's not classy, but I've always used the point of the corkscrew to score the foil, which I then peeled by hand from the neck of the bottle. With my new Screwpull corkscrew, though, the tip doesn't extend beyond the guards -- so I had to find another way.



This little fellow, with its four cutting wheels, effectively decapitates the foil so that the top pulls off the bottle like a little cap.



Pretty foolproof, works every time! It would make a great stocking-stuffer!
